On Wednesday 28th June 2017 at 16.30 our very own Liz Nelson will be speaking at an event in London that aims to bring together gender and tax justice advocates to highlight the need for coherent and gender-responsive fiscal policies to safeguard the rights of women and girls both in the UK and globally.

The author

George Turner

George Turner was a writer and researcher with the Tax Justice Network until June 2018. He worked on a number of TJN projects including a review of the UK’s Tax Department HMRC, jointly published with the union PCS, and he was lead author on the Offshore Game, a study into the use of offshore finance by UK football clubs. George is also a non-executive director of Tax Justice UK and of Finance Uncovered, a TJN project that he helped set up. George was formerly Head of Office for the Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrats in the UK.
