Matthew Amalitinga Abagna is a Research Fellow at the Tax Justice Network. He recently completed his PhD in Economics at University College Dublin and holds an MSc in Economics and Finance for Development from the University of Bradford and a BA in Integrated Business Studies from the University for Development Studies. Before joining the Tax Justice Network, Matthew gained over six years of experience leading local and international teams in implementing donor-funded livelihood programs in Ghana. His research explores the impact of tax incentives on local economic development, with broader research interest in illicit financial flows and tax evasion in developing countries.
